THE LOOKS

In pink, the W710 feels effortlessly friendly. Its slightly off-center lens and soft edges give it a playful, approachable face, while the subtle metallic accents add a hint of shine. It’s lightweight, compact, and slips easily into a pocket or small bag. This isn’t a camera trying to look “pro” — it’s one that wants to be carried around and actually used.

THE SPECS

The W710 is built around a 16.1-megapixel CCD sensor paired with a 5× optical zoom lens that starts at a wide 28 mm equivalent and reaches up to 140 mm. It features optical SteadyShot image stabilization, face detection, and a selection of auto modes that handle most situations without asking much from the user. The 2.7-inch LCD is clear and straightforward, while 720p HD video recording adds a little extra versatility.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Playful pink finish: Cheerful and easy to spot — a fun twist on a simple form.

• Off-center lens layout: Gives the front a distinctive, slightly asymmetrical personality.

• Wide 28 mm starting point: Great for everyday shooting, from travel snaps to group photos.

• Pocketable size: Light, compact, and made for on-the-go use.

THE VERDICT

The W710 is a reminder of how simple and satisfying a small camera can be. It’s not trying to reinvent anything — just to make taking photos easy, lighthearted, and a little more joyful. With its bright finish and approachable feel, it’s the kind of digicam that quietly earns its place in a collection.
